[edit]Seriously people, can this nostalgic minutiae possible meet the "notability" bar? - Anonymous Coward —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.109.105.206 (talk) 02:34, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
The name seems to actually be Crø̈ønchy Stars. --Random832 (contribs) 20:44, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Is the ö a gratuitous umlaut?
[edit]I'm not convinced it is. Reasons: ö is a separate letter in Swedish (one of the three extras, along with ä and å), and the pronounciation definitely works well for a native speaker of Swedish (taking myself as the only available sample) if you just say it as written ("Cröonchy"). It sounds very silly, yes, but so does the rest of the Swedish Chef's fake Swedish... Osquar F (talk) 10:27, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- I agree, and I'm also going to remove this confusing remark:
- In addition to the doubly gratuitous umlaut (since the ø, a Danish letter that does not appear in Swedish, is pronounced like Swedish ö) in Cröonchy
- I don't understand why Danish is relevant here. —Mark Dominus (talk) 13:12, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
