To be more correct, in 1991 autonomy was restored under the name "Crimean ASSR". On February 26, 1992 the name was changed to "Republic of Crimea", in 1996 - to "Autonomus Republic of Crimea" (finally adopted in 1998 with the adoption of the acting constitution of the republic).
