Ok I'm curious i've seen numerous references to the Tragedy of Crystal Lake uncovering the town site of Beulah. I'll be up there this week and will do some research and submit my findings. Gerbera 17:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have all of the refs and text versions to the Tragedy inc a copy of the original MS. I've been compiling an environmental history of the Crystal Lake Watershed for several years. I also created the webpage www.CLWA.us which someone has kindly added as a primary reference. There are a few minor inconsistencies that have crept into this article which I'll try to unravel when I learn how to proceed. hazwaste 22:42, 30 October 2006

When the Village of Beulah built Lake Street, they did so by taking away the private beaches of the houses that are now along the east side of that road. When the property owners challenged them in court, the Village (or township or county, I'm not sure) held that the property owners rights only extended to the level of the lake where it had been before the accident. I know this because the two houses north of the corner of Lake and Clark (you know, the blue one with the fish and the have been in my family since 1912, and my relatives were involved in the litigation. Admittedly I can't cite this, but if somebody can come up with citeable material I'd be interested to see it. Triphook 07:12, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the picture of Little Glen Lake, why it is on this page I don't understand. Gerbera (talk) 16:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Crystal Lake (Benzie County, Michigan)/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

*The disambiguation section of the current page could easily be placed on a separate page from the section on the state's main lake with that name (in Benzie County). Done
  • The section about the main lake is somewhere between start and stub level (IMHO).
