wrong roots given for the etymology of Curzon

[edit]

The name Curzon is of Anglo-Saxon or somesuch roots. Cf. German Kurtzon, Dutch Kerzoon. Not an Norman-brought lastname. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:411:1600:226:8FF:FEDC:FD74 (talk) 16:23, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you're complaining that the current etymology doesn't have a citation that shows it's true - it would be good if you could supply a citation of your own that shows the Anglo-Saxon claim is true. Otherwise we'd just be replacing one unevidenced thing with another. Sources should meet the standards described at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 16:45, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
