merge
[edit]I suggest merging cwrsync into cwRsync. Both articles discuss the same topic, and the "cwRsync" capitalization is used on the official website. --DavidCary (talk) 05:20, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
- Merged. --ozzmosis (talk) 20:55, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Another merge
[edit]Can we merge CwRsync with CopSSH? They are two little (yet useful) niche programs from the same vendor, with overlapping sources (mainly the vendor's website). -- Evilninja (talk) 02:15, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- I can see the point, although it would be an awkward mix, and the page title would be ugly. Perhaps we could restructure to a company page (Itefix) with a products section, where these two (and potentially others) could be described. Klbrain (talk) 02:15, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- SSH and Rsync are very different programs (even though Rsync uses ssh). They have absolutely different purposes and interface. I think their vendor is not important, because we write about the program, not its authors. Yaroslav Nikitenko (talk) 17:10, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- Closing, given no support for merge and no consensus for any alternative action. Klbrain (talk) 14:31, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
"Usage note" section
[edit]I added this section, but it likely doesn't meet certain Wikipedia standards. However, I added it because the documentation for cwRsync itself doesn't mention it. Because it's closed source, I'm unable to update the documentation. Bradlegar the Hobbit (talk) 17:49, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
