A few comments...

[edit]

It is never specifically stated that the "Cylon God" is the God of all Cylons. This is cast in doubt by the coversation between Caprica Cavil and Fleet Cavil when they were incarcerated in the brig. For all we know, the Cylon God is merely a figment of Baltar's imagination; the conversations he has had with the Internal Six may indicate nothing more than his being delusional. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 23:42, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently the producer has said that most, but not all (Cavil being one of the exceptions), Cylons believe in the Cylon God (it's quoted in the main Cylon article)David 21:15, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge?

[edit]

Surely this tiny article should be merged into the main Cylon article?David 21:10, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: Why should it? --SGCommand (talkcontribs) 21:12, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Because it's barely a stub. My opinion is that it doesn't require a separate article and would be better off inside the main Cylon article (although I was surprised there was no separate section on religion in that article). The second paragraph is a tautology (it amounts to "the monotheistic Cylon faith is like other monotheistic faiths because it's monotheistic"), and more than half of the third paragraph has nothing to do with the Cylon God, instead being about the Lords of Kobol. Support: Basically, the points that David made are the points I would've made a well. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loudWP:PORN BIO? 04:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: it looks good the way it is --SGCommand (talkcontribs) 09:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: No offense SGCommand, but as the creator and main contributor, you might be a bit biased. There are no solid facts on the Cylon God because the producers haven't given us any, and until there's enough information for more than one paragraph (the second and third being redundant for the reasons above) I can't see any reason to keep this article. The Cylon God is a product of Cylon society (as far as we know) and any facts on the subject (and Cylon religion in general, which as I've said seems a bit lacking) would make a good addition to the main Cylon article. New Comment: In that case, do it--SGCommand (talkcontribs) 09:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
