ARP spoofing mixed into this article
[edit]It does not become clear how ARP spoofing is connected to DHCP snooping. The content of the article seems to switch completely to this topic after the introduction. Mpeylo (talk) 13:20, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
DHCP snooping is a feature intended to prevent a malicious user from pretending to be the network DHCP server and thus intercepting DHCP packets. Included is also an overview of Dynamic ARP Inspection – whereby an attacker’s gratuitous ARP packets are discarded - for situations where DHCP Snooping may not be applicable. Both DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection rely on the same concepts of “Trusted” and “Untrusted” ports.
