Does he deserve his own article ? I think not. -- Beardo 03:35, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Daichi Sumeragi redirects to List of Beyblade characters because there is more information there. -- Beardo 03:38, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but all articles start from short articles. And Daichi is certainly not a minor character, so he deserves an article. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 06:34, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why not copy the material from the other article to here, and change the redirect ? -- Beardo 08:00, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Because you're not supposed to do that, as it screws up the page history. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 15:57, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How else can you split articles ? "When there is enough text in a given subtopic to merit its own entry, that text can be excised from the present entry and replaced by a link." - Wikipedia:Summary_style
which continues - "Always mention in the edit summary when splitting Whenever you break up a page, please note the split (including the page names between double square brackets) in the edit summary."
-- Beardo 08:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's not the point. This article should be moved, not split. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 11:30, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No - the information in List of Beyblade characters should be copied to Daichi Sumeragi and this page turned into a redirect there. Or better yet, delete the whole lot as pointless fancruft ! -- Beardo 21:11, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. That is much better. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk | Contribs) 21:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And moving the talk page - that was neat. Well done. -- Beardo 21:50, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Daichi.jpg

[edit]

Image:Daichi.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
