Ban this?
[edit]- "She usually appears in a young and prepubescent state, though she is not shy enough to feel embarrassed when naked"
I could see 'young' as vague, but most people start puberty before 18, so if you appear prepubescent, you must appear to be under 18 so... if this manga depicts someone who looks under 18 naked... then unless an artist can argue that this story has some kind of artistic merit (how do we determine this?) wouldn't this be the promotion of the kind of CP that Larry Sanger fellow was raising alarms about on the Wikimedia Commons? 174.115.134.69 (talk) 13:19, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- This is an animated female who isn't embarrassed. Not even close. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 14:07, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- I did not infer that, there's a reason I did not bold that part of the statement. I was not disagreeing with it. Although I do believe that Mina has felt embarassed about other things. 174.115.134.69 (talk) 20:30, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- So the girl is obviously underage in appearance. Does that make it bannable within the United States? Possibly. Is it being sold in stores in the United States? Most definitely. Makes for a conundrum. --Primetech 19:33, 22 March 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Primetech (talk • contribs)
The secular basis for U.S. laws regarding showing minors naked or in "adult" situations is for the protection of minors. Obviously that would apply to any child actor portraying such a part in a filmed show, but a drawn character would not need such protections. Then again, one could reasonably argue that the very existance of such media presents a clear and present danger to children on the basis that it would be titilating to pediophiles. Time to update?
[edit]The manga appears to be complete for the time as it states at the end of ch.82 "End of part one" . I guess a sequel series might start start soon, much like the cavalier of the abyss come after the immortal regis. 188.2.8.139 (talk) 10:35, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Needs Updating
[edit]Let me preface this by saying I have no idea how to properly organize a wikipedia section. But there is a subtle mention of Dive in the Vampire bund at one point but it is never titled in this mention and there is no mention of the Seven Seas release which I am holding right now. On top of this there are two doujinshii collection novels which I also have right next to me, these were released exclusively to the US by Seven Seas. Finally there is no mention of the currently running Dance in the Vampire Bund 2 manga, I also have the first volume next to me now. This article seems quite outdated and doesn't include some parts of the manga, I realize you are just giving a broad summary though I do have an issue with certain sections lacking characters
just refer to me as rednekdashie that is a general community name for me and I have no desire to take the time to make a wikipedia account, I can be contacted at retasemaj@yahoo.com but if I get too much spam I will just quit using that email. 66.203.31.58 (talk) 15:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
