Single release?

I just performed a cleanup of this article, and I noticed it states this about the Beyonce solo version: "In the U.S. the song went for radio airplay only and was never released as a single in other countries". Are there any sources to support this statement, and if the Beyonce version was released as a single, why is there an album track infobox rather than the one for singles? Thanks.
