A TIME Magazine cover story dated April 29, 1966, contains, among other things, some information about Danny Escobedo written shortly after his famous Supreme Court case [Escobedo v. Illinois, 378 U.S. 478 (1964)] was decided. It's available, in full, online: http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19660429,00.html

The cover picture is also available online: http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,19660429,00.html

The last page of the article (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,835435-12,00.html) says that the cover picture (Escobedo's mug shot) was taken from the files of the Chicago Police Department. Perhaps an edited version of the TIME Magazine cover (cutting out the "TIME" logo across the front and the distinctive red border around the photo) would qualify as being in the public domain, and therefore could be legally used on the "Danny Escobedo" page?

The Illinois Department of Corrections has an "inmate locater" function here: http://www.idoc.state.il.us/subsections/search/default.asp A search for "Escobedo, D" will reveal "Daniel Escobedo" as inmate N43563, and contains some information about Escobedo's recent convictions, where he's currently being held, his expected parole date (and the date parole is expected to end), and a current picture.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons also has an inmate locater function: http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/LocateInmate.jsp A search requires full first and last name; a search for "Daniel Escobedo" reveals him as former inmate 08794-424, and was released on June 25, 2001. A search for "Dan Escobedo" reveals no such inmate; a search for "Danny Escobedo" reveals no such inmate.

The Government Printing Office keeps an archive of past versions of the U.S. Marshall's website. One such page in the archive shows Escobedo's "Wanted" page, found here: http://permanent.access.gpo.gov/lps9890/lps9890/www.usdoj.gov/marshals/wanted/escobedo.html

This is my first contribution to Wikipedia, please forgive me if I've violated some rule or custom! But hopefully this information will help someone who wants to clean up the "Danny Escobedo" page.
