Darling Downs Gazette Establishment & First publication dates
[edit]This article states: "The Darling Downs Gazette was a newspaper published from 1848 to 1922 in Drayton and Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia."
However it also states: "The Darling Downs Gazette and General Advertiser was founded in 1858 by Arthur Sidney Lyon. The first issue of four pages was published on Thursday 10 June 1858"
Does this mean that 'The Darling Downs Gazette' was a paper that preceded another publication, i.e. 'The Darling Downs Gazette and General Advertiser' or is there a mistake in the "published from 1848..." reference to the 'Darling Downs Gazette'?
In other words, are these two separate publications or a single publication that began in 1848 and changed its name in 1858? Nonsibicunctis (talk) 23:46, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
