Guys I've always seen him play his entry-level bass made by Memphis and nothing else, ever. Since he has such a 'holy grail' kind of sound, it would be nice if we could expand on it cuz when people call The Jesus Lizard an "influence", all 4 of them have a sound other people emulate - as well as the sound of the band as a whole. Anyone know any details of his rig? I've seen him live twice, and it looked like he kept the brains of the rig behind the speaker cabinets so I could never tell what he was using. I found unreliable info years ago about the speaker cabs hand built in Austin buy some guy at Heart o' Texas Music. We should shine a light on this, yeah?
