Nature of the article

[edit]

Should this be a list?--19:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Not if it cannot be cited with verifiable sources. N2e (talk) 03:44, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

This page should be deleted, not only is the name ridiculous, the squadron was actually part of the Mediterranean Squadron (United States).--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 07:21, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This material, or list, should be included in the Second Barbary War page. Decatur's Squadron in the Second Barbary War is not a subject for an encyclopedia page. A list maybe. Topic or list, it should be part of the Second Barbary War main page. I have nominated it for speedy deletion. The article has been abandoned for some time anyway. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 13:31, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(That was quick! The speedy delete was declined while I was typing!)
I was going to say, I don’t think it should be deleted. I don’t disagree with a merger, necessarily, though if Silence is correct the merger should probably be to the Mediterranean squadron article. There doesn't seem to be anything there at present. This article had more information earlier; would it be worth putting that stuff in table form at the Med Sqdn article and redirect there?
