Genre
[edit]Okay, let's get this over with. Clearly, there's going to be genre warring on this article, like most music-related articles recently. So it would seem like a good idea at this point to gather consensus on what the stated genre should be, to prevent more fighting in the future. I suggest we just leave it at "Rock." Remember, the infobox isn't supposed to list more than a couple of genres that summarize the entire album, and preferably it should list ones that are properly sourced as well. Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject? And until we get consensus, can we please refrain from adding anything else? Remember, the infobox genre is not a big deal. In fact, it shouldn't be as much of an issue as it already is. Thanks. Friginator (talk) 16:17, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- I do not have any suggestions for the genre assigning, but I think your changing it to simply "Rock" is a good call. I'm glad that there hasn't been more genre feuding [yet], but I do agree that it is a very small matter that way too many people take out of proportion. I think genre warring is a very stupid activity that is pursued by close-minded fools who have their priorities in the wrong place. I won't go on a rant here, but if consensus is reached and reliable sources are supplied, then I'll be cool with whatever genre line-up is put in the infobox. - Just for the record, what people think it should be doesn't matter, it's reliable references of third party sources stating what it is that should be used. Canterbury Tail talk 22:24, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- That is true. Genre warring can and does violate multiple Wikipedia guidelines, and the perps think that their opinions on genre assignment are very important, when that is not the case. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 22:38, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed, but the hard part is finding a reliable source. Allmusic simply lists the album as "Pop/Rock" and there aren't many other sites usually used for this sort of thing. People frequently cite reviews, though I would hardly call someone's personal opinion in a review a reliable source. Friginator (talk) 23:54, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Is it really necessary?
[edit]Almost half the article consists of the former producer whining about how poorly treated he was. Seems to unbalance the whole article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.128.193 (talk) 14:37, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think "half the article" is a bit of an exageration, though it is a cited point and while (I personally) don't think it needs removing, you're certainly welcome to add to the article to give it a more balanced tone/another point of view. Best, Markvs88 (talk) 14:50, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
