common name

[edit]

"Wood White" seems to be used to refer to Leptidea sinapis only. Noym (talk) 14:19, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Same as the previous one, see: http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au/pier/agan.html Just copy/paste the scientific name in google and you will find more refs for this common name. Cheers Ruigeroeland (talk) 14:21, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, saw the reference in the edit comment. Googling for common names is precisely what I want to avoid, however; there is so much random crap there I'd end up with five common names for every subspecies. Noym (talk) 14:33, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yeah. That site is pretty good for Aussie species though. If you dont trust it, use the Australian Faunal Directory, it also has common names. See: [1] and [2] for the species entry, which also mentions a second common name by the way. Ruigeroeland (talk) 14:36, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
