Columns and recent edit warring[edit]

Horizonlove, let's discuss this. I believe using a two-column layout for a mere six artists is in poor taste. Also, in the words of its documentation: it "displays poorly on mobile devices or narrow screens and is sub-optimal in terms of accessibility. Approximately half of the readers of English Wikipedia articles are using mobile devices and may have trouble reading the content that is wrapped in this template."

Regarding the other Manual of Style issues, you have yet to explain why you reverted two editors' (1, 2) attempts to normalize dashes and capitalization. Both reverts appear to be asserting ownership rather than anything else. Rebb ing 07:13, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Rebbing: "I believe using a two-column layout for a mere six artists is in poor taste." is a opinion but not violation of Wiki rules. I don't know how you landed on this page (not that it really matters), but you can't just make changes and then try to cloak with "per WP:whatever the policy". If you feel that I'm "asserting ownership", then you haven't study close enough. Those reverts were more than dashes and capitalization, it was about citing proper credits in the Personnel area, which I took and talk about on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide page. Being dismissive of someone's hard work is very bad behavior. And that is not claiming ownership, that is a response to being 'hounded' by another user who follows one's edits. I never asserted that it was against the "Wiki rules"; I merely expressed my opinion—an opinion shared by another editor. I have provided multiple reasons why we should not use columns for the personnel section: that they make the page hard to view and that they're unnecessary; your only justification is that you feel "hounded." Editing on Wikipedia happens by consensus; you don't get to say that others can't make changes without your permission, and you especially don't get to reject something supported by multiple editors ipse dixit.

You have still failed to offer any explanation for reverting us over the dashes and capitalization. Are you saying that that was unintentional on your part? I assumed you'd been around long enough to know that you can revert only part of an edit.

I took a look at your conversation with Jennica. You're not being hounded. Even if Jennica followed you—which I doubt—she's still not at fault. Take a look at our hounding policy: "Correct use of an editor's history includes (but is not limited to) fixing unambiguous errors or violations of Wikipedia policy, or correcting related problems on multiple articles. You don't even know what you are talking about. Furthermore, I don't have to answer to you. History shows that my edits have been productive through and through. Also my only justification was not that I feel hounded. But if you don't do your homework, I would expect that. As I said, I took the discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide.
