I propose, people!
[edit]I propose that the definition of demand management be expanded to include its practice in business.
The concept points to the value, i.e., savings, that can be found for businesses through managing the demand which generates spend rather than extracting excess cost fromt the supply chain. 67.100.244.179 21:32, 1 February 2007 (UT

Propose to extend to firm-level demand management
[edit]As proposed above I have added a sentence to the initial definition that includes the use of demand management within firms to describe activities such as forecasting, planning and order fulfillment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Billtubbs (talk • contribs) 04:05, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Proposed additional heading for demand management in project portfolio management
[edit]Greetings,
Demand management also has context as a part of the project portfolio management process, most notably as a process to intake new ideas and evaluate them for potential work activities (projects, programs, components). I proposed an additional heading (appended currently after "In IT") to give a brief overview of this additional definition as presented and elaborated upon in this article from PMI.org [1]
Looking forward to any response!
