Ethnic origin

[edit]

On the column it says that the nationality is "Swiss" and then the breakdown on ethnicity.

Where do these percentages come from?

When I look at the figures from the Federal Statistical Office, the percentages are extremely suspect to me.

Is a naturalized Balkan resident of Zurich one of these 65% or does he belong to the other 6%? What about his child if the child's mother is also a naturalized citizen but originally from the UK?

Which official body in Switzerland keeps records of ethnicity?

Switzerland does not record ethnicity, so if there are figures then they are perhaps estimates by other people. Also are you referring to the infobox? I am pretty sure you are, I am convinced that those figures are just made up as I can't find a source for it, so I will remove them. Tweedle (talk) 08:40, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
