This article is blatantly incorrect. The Devil’s Punchbowl was not a concentration camp. It is a geological feature. 2600:1700:BBF0:CB30:A9AE:27E0:C186:4AB9 (talk) 14:50, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting narratives.[edit]

This article has been the focus of a long-term edit war, carried out mostly by IP editors. On one hand, most accounts show this was a refugee camp where a large number of freed slaves were cared for. On the other hand, some accounts show the freed slaves were sorely abused. Some sources suggest the freed slaves were pushed into the path of the Union Army to slow it down by the need to care for them, others are purported to be published by agents of the Lost Cause of the Confederacy. Special care should be taken to carefully evaluate changes for sourcing and reliability. It's often not easy to judge the reliability of the sources. — Jacona (talk) 13:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Particularly see, for the lost cause, [1] and for refutation see this [2], rehashed here. — Jacona (talk) 14:06, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
