"[B]uilt by Scaglietti" - That seems dubious. Carrozzeria Scaglietti calls them a "design and coachbuilding company", ie. they only built certain parts of cars, and arguably not the most important ones. The source is not accessible. 91.10.37.92 (talk) 10:14, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lf15/london/lots/r148-1968-ferrari-dino-206-gt/180887 "Pininfarina penned the work of art, which was built by Scaglietti, and it would become one of the most iconic automotive designs." YBSOne (talk) 16:35, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can also confirm this from Doug Nye's book "Dino: The Little Ferrari" pg 255, however it is important to clarify that Scaglietti built the body of the cars, not the mechanical components. This was relatively common for Ferrari at this time- the 365 GTB/4 Daytona and the 275 GTB, for example, were both designed by Pininfarina and had a body built by Scaglietti. Sigh...one day I'll have time to do more significant improvements to this article, but at least this dispute can be clarified. Prova MO (talk) 23:24, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting this article

[edit]

Hi Fellow Wikipedians!! I intend to split this article into two separate articles. It will it better readability prospect and a slightly better organisational layout. I plan to do it in the next couple of weeks. scope_creepTalk 11:49, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
