Merge?[edit]

I do not see a strong argument for this, but rather would like to see the articles reference each other. Kukini 05:15, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are right! I put these up too fast. I'm taking them down. Thanks. --Swift 05:34, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Shouldn't disablism be dsicrimination against abled individuals and a belief in the supremacy of individuals who are disabled? Theshibboleth 06:25, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, merge.[edit]

There is no reason for distinct articles.

  • "...a term used to describe discrimination against people with disabilities in favour of people who are not disabled."
  • "...discriminatory, oppressive, or abusive behaviour arising from the belief that people with disabilities are inferior to others."

These terms are being used to mean the same thing. That calls for a merge. - Keith D. Tyler (AMA) 00:51, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Society, including wiki, is biased against disabled:[edit]

They argued that society might tolerate or pity cripples, but never treat them as equals. They also disagreed with Hirschfeld's (and Ulrich's) view that male homosexuals were by nature womanish — Brand, Friedlander and others would later leave the Scientific-Humanitarian Committee and form their another group,..."
