Shouldnt the title be Discourse on the Origin of inequality? since thats the title of the book

How about Discourse on the Origins and the Foundations of Inequality among Men?Lestrade (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Lestrade[reply]

This article seems to fail to touch on the fact that Rousseau, according to the article [[1]] on him, thought that it was a failing in the Social Contract, not necessarily a failing of the Social Contract, one that could be rectified.

Improvement needed[edit]

The last paragraph of "Content" seems redundant. 18.55.0.66 (talk) 13:34, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect from Full Title[edit]

The full title of the book is "Discourse on the Origin of Inequality Among Men." That page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discourse_on_the_Origin_of_Inequality_Among_Men) should redirect here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.117.67.249 (talk) 18:03, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Length of text[edit]

His 'text' runs about 26,000 words from the Gutenberg edition, which works out to about 100 pages at the commonly accepted number of 250 words per page, or 50 pages with denser presentation. It wouldn't hurt the article to work in a comment on the size of the document under discussion. — MaxEnt 09:11, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Arguments[edit]

There seem to be some integral points in the text left out from this article. Some elaboration is possible, maybe on mimicry and pity. Liberty5651 (talk) 20:53, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
