I added this page because 'diviner' is in the news today, and it led to a page about divination, which would be confusing for anyone following the story. Apologies if I have violated any rules - of course I'd be happy to see the page improved.Dickpenn (talk) 07:54, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why "diviner"?

[edit]

One dictionary definition of "diviner" is "a person who divines the location of water or minerals."

Why was the unusual word "diviner" used in the name of this instrument? Because it was expected to show the location of water ice? If so, the article should say so. 2601:281:D880:7880:5CF:44EC:9376:8B63 (talk) 00:22, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
