Far as i understand, Djibouti has strong military presence by France and they also are responsible by law to defend Djibouti? If not by the law, they used to provide protection to Djibouti in exchange for land to their military training.

There should be some mention here of the 13th half brigade of the french foriegn legion, which is stationed in djbouti.

Any verification?
