Suggestion[edit]

If this article is about a musical production that is expected to last or have more than one incarnation, you may want to separate the cast members to remove possible recency bias. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:28, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Casts and productions[edit]

Currently the article lists a number of productions which are completely unreferenced, and/or not notable(in the background section??). As far as I can see the cast and characters section should only list notable casts and replacements (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musical_Theatre/Article_Structure) to my understanding that means only the Broadway and West end (and maybe the Australian) casts should be listed in full. I will do some research on main casts and the Premiere's, so that the notable ones can be referenced, and I will improve the article, but would like peoples views on which casts should actually be listed. Good point, I often refer back to the guidelines. However, in this case, it might be a good idea to list other than West End, Broadway/Off-Broadway productions, because I believe that it establishes notability when a play/musical is produced in several venues. I certainly like the idea of including the Australian production--also other countires, for that matter. After all, not only is it notable, but recognizes the fact that other countries have a vibrant theater life. However, I would also argue for keeping the CAST LISTS to only notable productions, per the guidelines. ((End of my little essay.) Flami72 (talk) 12:58, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, although at this point, given the notoriety of the authors of the show, notability is established without the inclusion of productions like the Scottish amateur premiere and the Rochester regional production. VORSEY (talk) 18:26, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
