Various concerns[edit]

I came here because @lynneguist tweeted that this was a US/UK difference, but I had never heard the phrase "door card", to the extent that I had to follow her link to this article to find out what it might mean (I couldn't even guess). Looking at the corpora, the BNC has not one single instance of "Door card", and the GloWbE corpus has precisely 13 instances (10 of them UK, admittedly) but only 3 or possibly 4 of these have this meaning. Contrast this with 13 UK instances of "door panel" (out of 67) of which I count 8 to have this meaning. This quick investigation says to me that "door card" is a variant occasionally used in the UK, but is not the UK term for it. Having looked at the article, I think that it is inappropriately written as a how-to, has no references at all for the subject of the article (only for particular points), and in any case I do not believe that it merits a separate article. I think it should probably be deleted, and if there is anything encyclopaedic that is not in car door, that should be added there. But I have no interest in doing this myself. --ColinFine (talk) 15:57, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
