The article needs to be tidied up. I think it has been confused with the hurling championship. The football B Championship began in 2013. St. Oliver Plunkett's Eoghan Ruadh won it in its first year. The B Championship consists of teams knocked out in the first round of the Dublin Senior Football Championship, It is not a backdoor, and once you lose in the first round of the Senior Championship, it works as a separate competition in order to give teams more games at a fairer level.
