Notability
[edit]An editor just placed a notability tag on the article. This company is clearly notable. Substantive coverage in multiple aerospace media, including Aviation Week, Space News, etc. Among many other events in their multi-decade history, they are the primary systems integrator for a currently-under-development, well-capitalized, project to build the world's largest airplane, the Stratolaunch carrier aircraft.
- Here are just a couple:
- {{cite news |last=Kelley|first=Mike |title=Dynetics to provide systems integration for new commercial space launch system |url=http://www.al.com/42/index.ssf/2011/12/dynetics_to_provide_systems_in.html |accessdate=2011-12-18 |newspaper=Huntsville Times |date=2011-12-15}}</ref>
- Dynetics is "responsible for the systems engineering, integration and testing, which includes aerodynamics, loads, and interfaces," for the world's largest aircraft, the Stratolaunch Systems carrier aircraft.
- {{cite news |last=Mecham|first=Michael | author2=Frank Morring, Jr. |title=Allen Places Big Bet On Air Launches |url=http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story.jsp?channel=space&id=news/awst/2011/12/19/AW_12_19_2011_p26-406657.xml&headline=Allen%20Places%20Big%20Bet%20On%20Air%20Launches&prev=10 |accessdate=2011-12-23 |newspaper=Aviation Week |date=2011-12-20 </ref>
- Dynetics has been developing the Stratolaunch system "for almost a year and has some 40 employees on the project so far."
- Dynetics was the "prime contractor on the U.S. Air Force’s GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (Moab) bomb, and with Boeing on the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (Mop) bunker buster, which weigh 20,000 and 30,000 lb., respectively.
Per WP:BRD, I'm removing the article tag. Further discussion can happen here on the Talk page. N2e (talk) 15:15, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Moreover, after several edits, the article—while still only a stub article—clearly demonstrates notability. N2e (talk) 15:49, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
