Yiddish Song

[edit]

The classic Yiddish Folk song "Hey Zhankoye" should warrent a mention in "In Popular Culture" section. The song has been covered by the likes of Pete Seeger and is a standard for Klezmer bands aroud the world. Some people may have heard of the city only by way of reference in in the song, and the lyrics are very reflective of the cultural importance of the city. Great idea! What we need then is something that discusses the song and its lyrics and how they reflect Dzhankoy (you saying they do is an example of original research) and then with a link to establish that Seeger (or some other notable artist) recorded that song (and not a link to a Youtube video which might be a copyright violation) you'll have a really nice section for the article.
