Transliteration[edit]

Proper transliteration of the film is Dzift, not Zift. The word in Bulgarian means "tar" though is often used in slang for "shit". As this correction includes changing the name of the article, I'm leaving this to be discussed.

Always do this and this before attempting anything. Google can sometimes render any discussion unnecessary :) All the best, TodorBozhinov 07:42, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How sad to see the film's PR (and its improper use of transliteration) brought up via Google searches as "proof" of what is right or wrong. 89.190.196.66 (talk) 11:23, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
just because the vast majority of bulgarians do not know transliteration rules, does not make their renditions in latin 'correct'. there are after all, simple transliteration rules. best to you too. ;) 193.194.140.210 (talk) 13:56, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the official website ought to convince you then. Best, TodorBozhinov 14:34, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it appears the official website does not follow transliteration rules either. In general, transliteration rules are not followed in Bulgaria, people tend to improvise, going by what they think is "the right way." This, unfortunately, is true for official institutions, as well as private companies. Anyway, seems this discussion has turned anal. Adding the redirect from dzift was all that was needed. 92.247.214.95 (talk) 07:18, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
