1994?
[edit]Wouldn't electronic animated greeting cards sent on older, pre-www type online services count as e-cards? What are the defining characteristics? For example, Sierra, the game company, made electronic greeting cards as far back as 1986 for friends and family to send out on a floppy. They also sent one to every ImagiNation Network customer before 1994... http://www.sierrahelp.com/Misc/XmasCards.html Not sure why these don't count... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.0.48.42 (talk) 10:38, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Removed advertisements from ad. Mushygushy, mcards, someecards have no WP:NOTABILITY.
MushyGushy
[edit]I removed the content below. It has references, which is good, but it has an external link, which is bad (as per WP:EL. If MushyGushy is able to overcome the WP:NOTABILITY requirements and gain their own wikipedia article, then I think this would be okay to put back. --Mdwyer 05:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- In May 2007 MushyGushy.com became the first E-Card site to allow users to personalize E-Greetings based on ethnicity, skin-tone, and gender.[1]

Electronic Card with an offline delivery
[edit]There is nothing mentioned in the article about E-Cards that still get delivered. I guess they are the printed E-Cards but they certainly would not be classified as a homemade card. I am talking about the companies that you create a card online, and then the company prints it and ships it for you. Is it an E-card? It starts online but finishes like a traditional greeting card yet uses E-Commerce. What do you guys think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by EagleinATL (talk • contribs) 20:03, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 4 external links on E-card. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.marlo.com/card.htm
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.marlo.com/holiday.htm
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //marlo.com/thanksgv.htm
- Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.latimes.com/HOME/BUSINESS/PICK/1996/pick960510.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).
