Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance as, under statement 5 of the notability of musicians, he has had 2 record releases under major artists. --Irockz (talk) 18:28, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any sources for that? Please put them in the article soon, else it will be removed.-- Alexf(talk) 19:05, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a source. --Irockz (talk) 19:27, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture, signature?[edit]

This page clearly requires some fleshing out, but also some visual aid. Perhaps someone could find a good picture of him, or perhaps even his signature? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Irockz (talkcontribs) 17:50, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

@Irockz: I've added a picture from a sheet music cover; much better than the album cover ones online. No luck finding a signature though. Thanks for creating the article, I stumbled upon Morton since he was featured on the Library of Congress Jukebox site. Opencooper (talk) 09:51, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Would love more info[edit]

Interesting life! My sons know the song I'm a Member of the Midnight Crew from Homestuck. Curious if anyone has any additional personal information. Was he married? Any kids? Felicia30078 (talk) 12:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He was married to one Mary "Mickle" Morton, via some biography site (no idea how reputable that source is though). His mother and father's names are not recorded. Not much info on Mary Morton, and no source cited for her on either her biography page or Ed's (so the validity of her existence as a whole is questioned, though he does frequently mention "[his] wife" in his music). According to Archeophone Records, he was big into Broadway plays and even performed in a few. I'm buying the CD, so I'll update with any biographical information from there. Eddie lived one heck of a life. GordonFreeman1997 (talk) 15:21, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Forgot to mention in my comment, but no reported children. Most sources on this cite their source as Wikipedia, so not much new info online. GordonFreeman1997 (talk) 15:22, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
