Another notable fact about Mr. Garland is that he had also posed with fellow officers in 1916. Included in this series, and by the same photographer are nude photos of Mr. Garland (no frontal nudity). It has been lost to history why he did so or why no other officers were nude. It also appears to be the last time that he did posed nude.
