Picture

I've already made one mistake, but Image:Juliet SIASL.jpg is currently not in use. Can it be added to this article?(Black Dalek 18:37, 17 April 2007 (UTC)).

I removed the photo until someone prove permission for it. (anonymous) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.126.91.29 (talk) 12:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

I took off the picture due to popular request, it didn't represent her well at all, nor does it look 'like' her. That was a complaint in her talk here so anybody is welcome to use a better one and add it ASAP. Theseven7 (talk) 10:03, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Why can't we use the image that's used in the Julie Burke article for this article as well? That's certainly representative of what she looks like. Rray (talk) 16:22, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
That image, like all images of actors and actresses in their roles, is copyrighted. We can use it for Juliet Burke because there are no free alternatives, i.e. all images of her will be copyrighted, however not all pictures of Micthell are copyrighted and so we have to use the free ones. asyndeton talk 16:31, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I tried a few weeks ago Rray, but someone removed it and told me off on my talk page about it. It seems daft, esp. as I imagine she'd much prefer the Burke pic. 19:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Merkinsmum (talkcontribs)
She might but ABC could easily have problems with it. asyndeton talk 19:21, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Using the Julie Burke image as the lead image on this article would be a blatant violation of fair use, and would be reverted on sight. Tabercil (talk) 23:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
How so, specifically? Rray (talk) 23:31, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Violation of clause 12: "Pictures of people still alive, groups still active, and buildings still standing; provided that taking a new free picture as a replacement (which is almost always considered possible) would serve the same encyclopedic purpose as the non-free image." Best Supporting Actress

In the September 2007 double issue of Entertainment Weekly (#953/954), columnist Dalton Ross said Elizabeth Mitchell should have won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her portrayal of Juliet Burke, instead of Katherine Heigl. Worth a mention? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.76.179.130 (talk) 06:49, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

what a picture!

I don't look like an actress, and even I would hate to have a pic of me online looking like that! Can't we find a nicer pic of the poor girl? I feel like removing this per WP:BLP due to its sheer mingingness.Merkinsmum 13:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I agree. This photo doesn't even look like her. Rray (talk) 14:23, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I edited it out, due to the requests here. Theseven7 (talk)

Please remove this until someone finds a better one! 65.95.199.106 (talk) 23:37, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

People often complain about images being not being all that great, and most times I disagree and say "free-use is better than nothing". In this case, I happen to agree, the image looks nothing like Elizabeth Mitchell and is actually quite disturbing. Luckily, this alternative was uploaded a few days ago: Image:Elizabeth Mitchell game.jpg. It may be only side, but she does look more normal in it. Gran2 08:57, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Elizabeth Mitchell

Did Elizabeth Mitchell play a part in the movie Michael Crayton. If yes, did she play the part of Michael's sister? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.74.26.236 (talk) 04:49, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Domestic Partner

I have removed the domestic partners from the infobox. The source for the information was a link to whosdatedwho.com. There have been 2 short discussions on WP:RSN about the website and all involved agree that it is not a reliable source.

I believe this information should be sourced to a reliable source before it is reinserted. ~~ GB fan ~~ 06:35, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

I have removed it again, this time the information is sourced to a fansite and the imdb page for the other person. Neither of these are reliable sources for a BLP. ~~ GB fan ~~ 09:25, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Was EM actually pregnant in SC3?

Elizabeth Mitchell gave birth to a son, Christopher Joseph Soldevilla, Jr., on 4 September 2005. Production of The Santa Clause 3 was completed in February 2006. So, was she actually pregnant during the filming of SC3? When exactly were most of the parts where she appears pregnant filmed?-96.237.71.2 (talk) 03:25, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Timeline/Context Inconsistency

Elizabeth Mitchell (born on March 27, 1970) and Mitchell and her mother moved to Dallas, Texas in 1970 and Mitchell claimed she was just "a dorky kid" when she left Los Angeles for Dallas.

Naming conflict--- The article states that Elizabeth Banks, who was born Elizabeth Mitchell, changed her name to avoid confusion. That's not how it works in SAG/AFTRA. Names are essentially a "first come, first served" situation. One way to get around this rule is to include your middle initial in your name, as actress Vanessa L. Williams did to discern herself from singer/actress Vanessa Williams. Actor Michael Keaton was actually born Michael Douglas, but, because Michael Douglas, Kirk Douglas' son, got his SAG/AFTRA card before the second Michael Douglas did, the second Michael Douglas had to change his last name and he choose "Keaton". Michael Douglas wanted to go by "Mike Douglas", but, that name was taken by talk-show host Mike Douglas. In addition, another way actors/actresses can get around this rule is to go by their middle name as their first name, which is done in "real life" and sports often. One's middle name can help set them apart, as it did for actress Evangeline Lilly. Lilly's first name at birth is "Nicole", but hates being called by that name and adopted her middle name professionally. 76.105.145.42 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:51, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
