Timeline problems?[edit]

This episode appears to have timeline issues.

Emily is kidnapped and rescued in 1992, when she is 12. We then travel to 1995 and finally 2001, when Dan saves the girl who was supposed to be killed. After the 1995 trip, Jack mentions that the dead girl was discovered in 2001, however, before the 1995 trip, Hugh tells Dan that the 2nd victim "went missing about a year later - turned up dead". The girl Dan rescues in 2001 doesn't look like someone who's old enough to have been kidnapped for 8 years, nor does it make sense that if the girl was kidnapped a year later than 1992, Dan mentions that he has to stop Bennett in 1995 before he kidnaps the next victim ("if he hasn't already") - by then it would have been three years after 1992. The only explaination I can think of is that either the "a year later" was an oversight in the script, or that the actor emphasised it wrong, and they meant to imply that she went missing, and then turned up dead about a year later. Did I miss something? TheHYPO (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
