This is not true: "Similar to the mantras of Buddhism and Hinduism, they were "meaningless words" ". There might have something similar in Buddhism and Hinduism but as a whole the mantras do have strong meaning. Sami m (talk) 15:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. The "holistic meaning" of mantras may in exactly the same terms be applied to the Ephesia Grammata or any other magic words. The point is that they are devoid of linguistic meaning. --dab (𒁳) 20:13, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
