Track gauge

[edit]

Track gauge = 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+12 in)? Peter Horn User talk 01:45, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Almost certainly - it would be a sensible choice if you're building lots of infrastructure from scratch, with off-the-shelf technology. However, none of the sources I've seen so far have mentioned gauge. There are a lot of sources out there, and some of them really ought to have commented if it were something other than standard gauge, but we shouldn't say so without explicit confirmation. bobrayner (talk) 12:09, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, with a quick google I found a more recent source which confirms standard gauge. [1] bobrayner (talk) 12:12, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Passenger rail

[edit]

Hello, recently this page has been the subject of a number of edits going back and forth regarding whether Etihad Rail will carry passengers or not. In order to try to prevent an editing war, I want to outline the evidence I've seen which suggests that they will be carrying passengers, and ask for sources which say otherwise, as previous edits have not provided such. Currently, their website, this National News article from January of this year, and this Gulf Today article from today all state that they are currently planning on providing passenger services. If I am wrong, please provide adequate sources which state otherwise. --Amtoastintolerant (talk) 17:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
