I have made contact with a small school in the village of Chambeau in the Boucan-Carre area of the Central Plateau of Haiti. There is a small church there and the Pastor's name is Michele Simiviel. I have been working to help this church and more importantly, it's school but have had difficulty in finding out its origin. The information on this Wikopedia page is great and sheds more light on my situation trying to raise funds and to be able to begin a formal student adoption program to provide much needed help for them. Two weeks ago (Oct., 2006), I interviewed the Pastor of the church there as to their orthodoxy and theology. They believe in the dual nature of Christ, in the Trinity, and in one baptism. They seem to be sola scriptura and have a very full faith expression with wonderful music and scripture teaching. I would like to know more about their history if anyone out there has any more information. Someone came in and built them a real church out of concrete block at some time in the past. I'm guessing in the 40's or 50's. Any further information would be great! thanks, patrick murphy-racey

Writing

[edit]

Thank you, ServB1, for your contributions to the page Evangelical Baptist Mission of South Haiti. I want to discuss with you the significant deletions you made on 30 Sep 2018 before I make further revisions. I was the one who wrote those paragraphs.

In order to avoid misunderstanding, I wanted to discuss with you ahead of time your edits. I live in Haiti and work with MEBSH. My mission organization, World Team, is the mission that helped the movement officially organize in 1936, so I have a very close up and accurate view of the organization. The information that you deleted was correct, historic information and some of the details you added are not precisely accurate. I quoted source material that you deleted and I don't understand why. I would like to see if we can work together to make the page more complete and accurate. I want to avoid any adding/deleting battles.

Please reply and suggest how we may proceed.

Thank you,

Hello Hansthedane, pleased to meet you! Thank you for your contributions and your message. The redesign of the article was made because of the strong resemblance between the article and the web page http://www.mebsh.org/about/. The usefulness of Wikipedia is to bring an objective and external (encyclopedic) insight into a topic (different from the subject's article website). Deleted information mainly concerns a directory of 10 external partner internet links ( links normally to be avoided). Other information that did not appear in the references was removed. The information in the article must be based on verifiable references. However, I added the section on Radio Lumière. Don’t hesitate if you have other suggestions. Thank you for your help. --ServB1 (talk) 17:23, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
