Ideas section flagged for research paper tone; possibly also ancient copyvio

[edit]

Here's a para from the original IP edit in 2005:

This can be seen from the definitions of these concepts. A concept by intuition is one which denotes, and the complete mean¬ing of which is given by, something which is immediately appre¬hended. Northrop gives blue in "the sense of the sensed color" as an example of a concept by intuition. The other kind is concepts by postulation. A con¬cept by postulation is one the meaning of which in whole or in part is designated by the postulates of the deduc¬tive theory in which it oc¬curs.

The '¬' characters have the appearance of a hyphen garbled by copy-paste, so I Googled some phrases and wound up here:

I immediately recognized "as silly as" there as also appearing here.

I'm going to go back and add a possible copyvio flag, too. I'm not making any assumptions about the copy direction, it could even be the same person authoring both, but someone more from this field needs to check into this. — MaxEnt 03:00, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's a heavier process than I intended, and I have to add that I'm not really big on monitoring my talk page, because I'm a high velocity tumbleweed, and I have many miles to travel before I sleep. — MaxEnt 03:14, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
