City Square/King Ed
[edit]What was the college in what's now City Square? Kine Ed campus of VCC, formerly King Ed High School? It should be mentioned along with any other historical institutions.Skookum1 (talk) 04:30, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
History
[edit]I wanted to add about how this was a poor-man's Kitsilano in the '70s (when Kits was just geetting de-hippified) and north of Broadway the houses were those big old CPR timber-frame things; nice porches, big high stoops because of the hillside, by the time I knew it a lot of them covered in bramble, and even cheaper to rent than Kits Poitn was ;-| (which was cheap). Can't cite that though leaving the reminiscence here, and I won't desribe the party I went to there c.1973....probably a subneighbourhood breakdown would help this article; South False Creek/Granville Island vs Fairview Slope vs Broadway vs "north Shaughnessy" and South Granville (6th-16th); does it include The Circle and Hycroft?Skookum1 (talk) 04:44, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Map of trolley line
[edit]This map shows the Fairview line in the '20s - it's the No. 1 route; note the no.2 up to 16th; was going to write up those routes too but didn't want to make the stub too transit-heavy; notable residents, political representation and such would probably help fill out hte article, and things like the Bowmac sign etc.Skookum1 (talk) 04:44, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
"Central Broadway"
[edit]Isn't that a term commonly seen nowadays? Must be citable; means maybe a bit different than Fairview propor, could include from Main to Burrard, but Cambie-Oak seems to be the core meaning.Skookum1 (talk) 04:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
