[edit]Why is there an article on the Falcon 1e? There is already an article on the SpaceX Falcon 1. This article is a duplicate. --129.54.8.46 (talk) 19:13, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- Falcon 1 and 1e are different rockets - completely different first stage, other modifications and upgrades. It is our standard practice to create articles for different rockets. --GW… 19:24, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- I would favor a merge, this article is quite small, and the little information there is seems to already be wrong or outdated 68.199.173.69 (talk) 04:47, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- Being out of date is not grounds to merge an article. It simply needs to be updated. Whilst it is currently rather short, it will expand as more details of the system become clear, and especially once it begins flying. I see no reason to depart from the system we use for all other orbital launch systems for this one case, which is in no way exceptional. --GW… 06:57, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- The Angara rocket series share one article even though they've made just as many launches as the Falcon 1e TMV943 (talk) 05:10, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
- That's simply because there isn't enough information to split that article yet. WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. --GW… 06:17, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

I would lean to agreeing with the merge as it appears they don't even intend to fly this and on the manifest they themselves don't even differentiate between the 1 and 1e. seems to me it should just be on the 1 series and mention the upgrades. -Tracer9999 (talk) 21:27, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Retired?
[edit]According to the spacex page "Current plans are for payloads that would fly on Falcon 1 to be served by flights on the Falcon 9, utilizing excess capacity. This is a very cost-effective solution for small satellite launch needs." and no launches of any falcon 1 or 1e are listed thru 2017. -Tracer9999 (talk) 20:52, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
Removed outdated tag
[edit]I changed the article to reflect the fact that the Falcon 1e is on hold, which I assume is the reason for the "outdated" tag, and removed the tag. NumberC35 (talk) 15:41, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
