Recurring fact/myth(?)[edit]

The article claims Family Affairs "is the first British English-language soap to air five episodes regularly every week." But what about the original Crossroads which in the 1960s went out five night s a week? Asa01 00:33, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK I deleted that reference to the show being the first UK soap to do 5 episodes a week. Asa01 02:32, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tidy up[edit]

23rd June, thought the factual stuff is excellent. Cleaned up some typos and spelling re-arranged some of the paragraphs to make it more reader friendly.

The are a lot of sentences were you say that channel five were going to do this or that but you give no sources at all on the page. If you are sure you know them re-edit where it has the

flag post the { { fact } } flag. [citation needed] This is so somebody won't ask for lots of information

Lastly, there is emotive terms used and these have been post with the {{POV}} flag - I can't see how you can leave the sentences in, without it making people wonder what they are reading. a personal blog or an encyclopedic entry.

I enjoyed reading your entry, its excellent and well researched :-) Mike33 15:34, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big Revert[edit]

Sorry but I have reverted a host of recent additions. They really did not add anything new that wasn't already covered here. They also contained a lots of chatty, informal language, and opinion. Even worse, some parts seemed to be close copies from external site [1] - though it must be said that when that site was created some years ago it pinched some of its text about Family Affairs from the FA article in wikipedia as it stood then. Thats Cool When I saw the article it looked like a fan gone Craaaaaaaaazeee!! Just shocked that all the changes had previously been made without discussion or saying why they were amending without fear completely factual paragraphs. enjoyed reading the site - but emotive language and slagging off produces without giving sources not very winki!!! kind regards Mike33 20:32, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me out with the kid in roys internet cafe question.

The Guy's Name was Ben Galloway. He later moved to Brixton with his flatmate Chris. The storyline came about when Paul Marquess, the then producer of the show began his big axing spree (Roy, The Webbs, Gabriel, Fern, etc.) Conquistador2k6

Setting[edit]

This article speculates that the original setting for the show was perhaps in Kent. This cannot be the case as whenever the police were represented in the show before the move to London, they were in Thames Valley Police uniforms.

It was all fiction. The uniforms where whatever the costume department chose to dress the actors in. Format (talk) 21:27, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
