VUDU
I created this article as a resource. I did a search this morning for any information regarding "Vudu" and "Vudu Labs" because I was interested in the product and its development. I thought that creating an article here for the public would be a good way to tell about people about it as well.
I AM NOT personally invested in this product's success/failure. I am not trying to advertise/market this product in any way! Nor was I intending to "spam" wikipedia with a senseless product of little or no importannce. I only think that it is a promising new technology that people should know about.
This is my first article on Wikipedia. If the article should be added to or changed in any way, please do so. I do not believe the article should be removed. This, and other similar technologies, could revolutionize the way in which we watch movies.

- I have removed the CSD tag and rewritten the article to remove the advertisement tone, excessive See Also links and other clean up. Notability is asserted already, so the article just needs expansion. -Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 17:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Still an advertisement
- I took out two very adverty sections and an adverty paragraph in technology. I think this is a major improvement. The article needs more references though. Toddst1 (talk) 23:45, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I changed the first line from "DRM-enabled" movies back to "full-length" movies. If DRM does have a place in the article, it is not in the first line. I personally am hesitant to add anything about DRM as the VUDU Box itself is closed and the movies cannot be viewed on any other medium. Also, DRM and VUDU is not a common topic around the web. 67.169.29.185 (talk) 01:21, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Why? DRM is DRM - you wouldn't be working in the industry, trying to convince people that DRM is good would you? --IceHunter (talk) 19:36, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
I removed the first line from the Remote Control section; I could not find any 'award' that the remote control won, so it's not nuetral to call it an award-winning remote control. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.87.13.82 (talk) 02:51, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
You're dishonestly lazy. It won a NYT Pogie: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/27/technology/personaltech/27pogue.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=vudu%20award&st=cse —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.215.43 (talk) 06:39, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
I feel that this seems very much like an advertisement still —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sean1705 (talk • contribs) 05:20, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
What countries?
Article needs to spell out which countries this works in - is it yet another American only service? --IceHunter (talk) 19:28, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- It is US only according to the Knowledgebase. Aamackie (talk) 14:24, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Until copyright law joins the twentieth century, all movie services are going to be very parochial in distribution. 76.126.215.43 (talk) 06:34, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Vudu, Inc. → Vudu – Corporate suffixes such as "Inc" or "Pty" are typically omitted from article titles unless needed for disambiguation, which isn't the case here (Vudu already just redirects here). Cybercobra (talk) 22:41, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Vudu (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) used to be a disambiguation page... since "vudu" is an alternate spelling of "voodoo", it can be returned to that state. (Wikipedia's spelling of things does not mean that there are not also other valid spellings) 70.24.251.71 (talk) 08:01, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- None of the articles on the religions list "vudu" as an alias. At best, Louisiana Voodoo states an etymological relationship: The word voodoo comes from the word vudu, the Dahomean “spirit”. But it's not a synonym. --Cybercobra (talk) 09:07, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
