It seems to me that the information added here by a new editor could easily be integrated into railfan, the target of the redirect where this used to point. I've invited the new editor to join the discussion at Talk:Railfan before I add the mergeto/mergefrom tags here (which I plan to do later today if I don't see any further activity from the new editor). My only doubt is on the validity of the origin of the term; I've asked the new editor for a reference citing it as correct. slambo 19:23, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
This reads more like an etymology of the word, which should be at Witktionary not Wikipedia I believe. Thryduulf 22:09, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
