I shall review it soon. --Ashleyyoursmile! 15:09, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ashleyyoursmile I have replied below where I disagree with you, though haven't implemented any changes yet due to believing it is best to wait until the end of your review. --K. Peake 05:59, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Kyle Peake: I've replied below. I shall try to review the remaining sections later today. --Ashleyyoursmile! 06:08, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ashleyyoursmile Good luck with that... I have crossed out the edit we agreed on not being complied with at all, though will still wait until the review is over to make any changes. --K. Peake 06:19, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • The song received generally positive reviews from music critics, with several of them praising the production → Music critics received "Fire" with positive reviews, with several of them praising the song's production.
  • Okay, you can keep it that way. Just mention "Fire" received generally positive reviews from music critics...
  • Others were complementary towards the lyrical content, while numerous critics positively compared "Fire" to Kid Cudi's earlier works → Some were complementary towards the lyrical content, while others positively compared the song to Kid Cudi's earlier works
  • Yes, use critics per your reasoning.
  • It peaked at number 67 on the US Billboard Hot 100, alongside charting in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and Slovakia → Following the release of Kids See Ghosts, it peaked at number 67 on the US Billboard Hot 100, alongside charting in Australia, Canada, Ireland, and Slovakia.

Background

[edit]
  • Image looks great.
  • "On April 19, 2018, Kanye West announced a collaborative album with Kid Cudi. The album was revealed as being titled Kids See Ghosts by West, with him setting the release date of June 8, 2018 for it." Can you combine these two sentences?
  • I understand the part where you talked about West's and Kid Cudi's working relationship, since this is their song, however I feel this part:"Prior to working with Kids See Ghosts on the song, André 3000 provided vocals for "30 Hours" from West's seventh studio album The Life of Pablo in 2016. That same year, André 3000 was featured on the tracks "By Design" and "The Guide" from Kid Cudi's sixth studio album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. BoogzDaBeast contributed production to the compilation album Cruel Summer (2012), which was released under West and Kid Cudi's record label GOOD Music is not really relevant since this doesn't give us much information about how the song was conceived, what kind of idea led to the development of it, etc. However, you are welcome to keep it if you feel so. I would also suggest writing about where the recording took place, who engineered and mixed the track, since that information is available from the booklet.
  • I added the Andre 3000 info to give background on how a writer and producer became involved with Kids See Ghosts, as this furthers notability of the article rather than only mentioning the duo's background. As for the recording info, is that really needed to be listed out here? --K. Peake 05:59, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Composition and lyrics

[edit]
  • "Fire" was noted as being a rock-influenced track by a number of music journalists → "Fire" was described as a rock-influenced track in press reviews, since I feel the current wording reads awkward
  • Though not needed, but would you like to add an audio sample?

Release and promotion

[edit]
  • Kids See Ghosts also danced and for the performance, they were inside a transparent box - this sentence reads weird, can you re-phrase it?

Reception

[edit]
  • Critical reception very well-written, no issues found
  • After the release of Kids See Ghosts, → Following the release of Kids See Ghosts,
  • In Australia, the track debuted → In Australia, the song debuted, since you've used "track" just before and you're using it in the next line
