I don't think tvtropes and knowyourmeme count as "reliable sources"

[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources#Sources This page says they aren't because they're both "open wikis". Also, I don't know how MSN works these days but I guess it aggregates from other websites now, so I don't think it helps support the use of the knowyourmeme source. 110.21.179.119 (talk) 03:58, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do think using the site or the social media of Sam and Jet may be considered more reliable, going off this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Self-published_and_questionable_sources_as_sources_on_themselves 110.21.179.119 (talk) 04:01, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Contestants/Season overview

[edit]

I was wondering when there is going to be a section on the contestants for season one or at least a section on season one. Sam has now announced the end of season one so it seems needed now, unless what is unfolding at the time of writing this is a set up bit. BlackMesaMoment01 (talk) 01:19, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

due to how wikipedia works, theres got to be what is called a "notable source" such as a news station picking it up. since fishtank is notable in itself due to it having a wikipedia page, i guess we can actually add them in now using fishtank.live as the reference Pyraminxsolver (talk) 00:15, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that the Italian page for the show references the site itself, along with the Sam Hyde wiki page, I'd doubt there'd be any problems with referencing it to detail the contestants. AsyarSaronen (talk) 01:18, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make value judgements on the contestants or make references to very specific moments within the show.

[edit]

Two editors have added contributions that are quite unprofessional. One referenced DrDisrespect buying out the show (which I don't even know if it is true or not) and one passing a judgement on the character of Letty.

Although the reasoning against making judgements on the contestants should be self-evident, I also think adding cherry-picked moments of the show to be included is not proper. We should wait until the show ends (which is hard to discern, considering there has already been one false end) before adding any "summary of events". However once the show has ended, I think it'd be best to copy the template used by this page Big Brother (British series 1). AsyarSaronen (talk) 01:26, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merge contestants and freeloaders tables

[edit]

I think it'd be best to merge the tables, and colour the rows like in this page, to indicate whether they are freeloaders or returning contestants as freeloaders (normal contestants aren't coloured). Also, colour the results columns like in this page. AsyarSaronen (talk) 00:06, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We need sources for the "cast" and "series overview" sections

[edit]

Otherwise they'll have to be removed. AsyarSaronen (talk) 04:12, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

use the main fishtank page as its a leaderboard Pyraminxsolver (talk) 01:50, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't provide biographical information as far as I know AsyarSaronen (talk) 02:14, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
