The flag disappeared. It was deleted on Wikimedia, apparently, for lack of copyright information. Can someone restore it? --Petercorless 12:15, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

A Gaddafi flag?
[edit]The current flag bears striking similarity to the "Gaddafi style"; it wouldn't be surprising if this wasn't designed by him. Is there any info on the details of the flag's history/adoption? Why was it changed? Tachfin (talk) 16:37, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Fair use
[edit]About time to upload this flag to wikipedia under fairuse, it will never be kept on Commons without a free license --Tony Wills (talk) 10:32, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
flag/logo
[edit]Actually this seems not be a flag at all, but a logo. As with some American city "flags", they are classified as logos, and because of that are unfree. So I thought maybe the article should renamed "Logo of the African Union". 82.141.116.92 (talk) 18:18, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
And if Google image search is right, the new flag does not have very much originality: map of Africa, stars and spikes. The old flag has more elements and seems more likely to bear any originality. 82.141.116.92 (talk) 18:32, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
