Inaccuracies and out of date-ness

[edit]

Hey, Max here, Co-founder of Flux.

In understand it's bad etiquette to edit pages relating to oneself, so wanted to add some notes here instead:

  • We're not using delegative democracy, but rather a new system of our own design called Issue Based Direct Democracy. It uses a market to help reorganise voting power on a per issue basis (starting from a fair one-person-one-vote foundation) to allow a special reorganisation of power.
  • We're also international now with the launch of Flux Brazil and we'll continue to expand
  • We have several state parties: ACT is registered and WA is in progress
  • Any MPs or Senators from Flux aren't really delegates because they're not necessarily delegated to by the membership or by voters, this point might be moot
  • Nathan was never a Bitcoin consultant, only I was (though we did meet at a Bitcoin meetup)
  • The ideology section that labels us as direct democracy is misleading because we're actively opposed to direct democracy. While some might consider us 'direct' just because everyone _can_ be involved in every issue we're very particular about exactly how that comes about. This point probably needs time to evolve before we really understand where Flux sits. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XertroV (talkcontribs) 23:54, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thanks for going onto the talk page instead of just directly editing the article; we really appreciate it. I've tried rewriting the article, but it's a bit short. If you have any ideas about how to make it better, make them here Talk:Flux (political party)/MaxDraft and I or someone else should be able to copy them over if you let us know. Oh, and if you put a note somewhere on your websites makinig the content CC BY-SA 3.0, this would definitely help editors. :) Orthogonal1 (talk) 04:21, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
