Kuga in the US

[edit]

Friend just linked me this page, not sure how much substance it holds. Didn't want to plop it into the main article page, as i'm barely awake and it's taken me 10 minutes to type these 2 sentences...

This article (C394 Kuga built in Louisville) is speculation based on no actual facts. 81.173.228.73 (talk) 19:43, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Needed?

[edit]

"In Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian and Bosnian the word "kuga" is a direct translation of the word "plague.""

Is that really necessary? It looks to me to be vandalism... - 84.69.208.171 (talk) 19:24, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What does "kuga" mean anyways? Anybody know the name origin? Feldercarb (talk) 17:07, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't see how pointing out a fact - "kuga" is indeed the word for the nasty disease "plague" in most of the former Yugoslavia (where the car is also on sale) - could be considered "vandalism". There are numerous cases of brand names that weren't thought through and turn out to mean something offensive, comical or inappropriate in other languages, and I reckon this is worth mentioning - for instance, it seems the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow car was going to be called the Silver Mist, until someone discovered that "Mist" is a rude word (meaning "crap" or "rubbish") in the lucrative German market. I suppose you might consider it a piece of "trivia", but that's all. And since there's a "Name" section....213.127.210.95 (talk) 14:03, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ford Cougar

[edit]

This should be merged into the Ford Cougar article, which in turn should be merged with Mercury Cougar. Presumably searches for Ford Cougar or Kuga would still point to Mercury Cougar. The spelling has changed but the its the same line and same pronunciation. --Ewik 22:29, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect, the vehicles are completely unrelated. Tom Green (talk) 15:22, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hybrid

[edit]

I thought I'd heard somewhere this car would be a hybrid, does anyone know for sure either way? 86.31.187.246 (talk) 13:04, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, speculation (C394 Kuga hybrid) based on no actual facts. 81.173.228.73 (talk) 19:43, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
